Please see information below for delays, rescheduling, and general reminders. (Last updated 12/20/24 at 4:06 p.m.)

Thursday Route Delays: There were roads that were not serviceable due to road conditions, many carts knocked over before arrival, and a few routes that didn't finish on Thursday due to time constraints. Which areas we will be able to go back to is very dependent on the weather overnight and on Friday.
-
Friday Route Delays: There were roads that were not serviceable due to road conditions and many carts knocked over before arrival. But all routes otherwise were or will be completed.
-
Pleasant Springs: Goecks Rd, Goecks Ct, and parts of Washington Rd were not serviceable due to road conditions on Thursday, 12/19. We may be able to on Monday, 12/23; please check back for more information. If you'd like to bring your cart back in and have additional bags (up to 5) picked up on your next collection instead, please call our office to schedule.
-
City of Sun Prairie: Several areas were not serviceable due to road conditions for both trash and recycling on Thursday, 12/19. We will try to return on Friday, 12/20, weather and time permitting.
-
Town of Sun Prairie: Some areas were not collected for recycling on Thursday, 12/19. Please check back for more information.
-
Inaccessible roads: There will likely be some other roads that were inaccessible during inclement weather. Please remember that trash/recycling trucks do not operate the same way smaller vehicles do and they need to stop/start frequently.
-
Knocked over carts: Drivers are not able to collect carts that are knocked over and cannot get out at every stop to upright them due to time constraints and safety concerns (for both our drivers and other drivers on the road). If you happen to be home and you see your cart has been tipped over, please set the carts upright if you're able to prior to our arrival so they can be serviced. Please do not place your carts on top of snowbanks.
-
Wind: If materials in carts are not bagged, excessive wind may create wind-blown litter. For safety and time constraints, the drivers are not able to get out at every stop to clean up. (If you bag your recycling, please use clear/transparent plastic bags.)
-
Safety: The safety of our drivers and the community is top priority. Thank you for your understanding!
-
Cart Placement: Please keep carts 4 feet away from each other and any other obstructions to prevent them from being tipped over during service, or not serviced at all. Please do not place carts on snowbanks or in the road, as it impedes the plows and carts may be knocked over prior to service. Drivers cannot get out at every home to upright the carts due to time and safety concerns.
-
Different timing: Pickup times may be different than residents are used to, either earlier or later. We recommend carts be out by 6:00 a.m. or the night before every week, as other factors can affect pickup time even when there's not inclement weather.
